Officers & Directors
Matthew Ogle, Chairman of the Board
Matt invented the FiberNet technology platform, co-founded Lumen Biomedical, and served as CEO from 2003-2009. In his 15 years of medical device experience, he has filed numerous patents in the areas of embolic protection, drug delivery, medical adhesives and coatings, and other general medical devices. Prior to co-founding LBI, Matt spent several years with St. Jude Medical in the Cardiac Surgery Division, holding advancing roles in technology development and manangement. Matt earned a master's degree in materials science from the University of Minnesota.
Kedar Belhe, Board Member
Kedar has strong functional expertise in technical, financial and strategic assessment of high-technology value opportunities. Kedar is currently founder and President of Metamodix, a medical device startup company focusing on metabolic disorders. He earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
Jason Galdonik, President
Jason has been with LBI since its inception in 2003 and is an inventor of many of its key products. He brings over 15 years experience, mostly in the design and development of interventional medical devices. Prior to Lumen Biomedical, Jason has had key roles in both large corporations and small start-up organizations – including St. Jude Medical, Vascular Science Inc., and Boston Scientific. Jason currently has 27 US patents granted and 33 applications pending.
Michelle Straight, Director of Quality and Regulatory
Michelle has been with Lumen Biomedical since April 2007. She has over sixteen years of experience within the medical device industry. Prior to working at Lumen Biomedical, she spent the majority of her career at Optical Sensors/vasamed. Michelle has a bachelors degree in Organizational Communication from Concordia University.
Karen Erickson, Controller
Karen has been with Lumen Biomedical since January of 2009. She is a CPA with over 26 years of experience in manufacturing, tax, and cost accounting with both large and small companies, mostly in high tech industries. She has public accounting experience working with small businesses to manage planning, financial forecasting and growth budgeting. Karen has a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Hawaii.
